Program Overview

At The Healing Hive Project, we’ve designed our beekeeping retreats with structure, clarity, and impact in mind. Whether you’re taking your first step into the world of bees or looking to deepen your hands-on knowledge, our programs provide immersive, guided experiences tailored to veterans and first responders. Each format below is built with intent: to teach, to heal, and to connect.

Single-Day Workshops

Perfect for busy schedules or first-time experiences. Our single-day workshops deliver maximum impact in a short amount of time. Participants arrive Saturday morning and dive into a full day of immersive, hands-on learning. You’ll explore the basics of hive components, bee behavior, safety, and proper use of protective gear, all guided by experienced mentors. Lunch is provided on-site, and the day ends with an open Q&A session.

Weekend Retreats

Weekend retreats begin Friday evening and run through Sunday afternoon. These experiences include multiple hands-on sessions, hive inspections, guided discussions, and shared meals. In addition to practical instruction, participants will explore the emotional and psychological benefits of structured routine and teamwork. It’s a supportive and energizing environment built around real learning and real community. Professional therapists will be on site if needed.

Week Long Immersive Retreats

Our six-day flagship program runs from Sunday afternoon through midday Saturday. Participants will live, learn, and work side-by-side throughout the week, with a full daily schedule including classroom instruction, fieldwork, and peer-supported reflection.iology to honey extraction and seasonal hive management, each day is designed to build on the last. ofessional therapists will visit on multiple days to check in on everyone as needed.
